The standard model, which has the same suspension and wheels that all Prius's have had since 2004 feels floaty and like driving a boat. The touring model which gets larger and wider wheels, and stiffer springs and shocks is a world of difference. It's like they're two totally different cars. Yes I could save money on a used Civic, but the Prius has such cool technology that I just want it. Plus the resale value is better than anything assuming you're not stupid enough to pay above MSRP.
